Using this Website indicates that you accept these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, do not use this Website.
This Website is owned and operated by Cbr Systems, Inc., otherwise known as Cord Blood Registry ("CBR," "we" and "us"). This Website was developed by CBR as a value added service and to provide information and support to expecting and new parents.
We reserve the right to revise or remove any part of the Terms in our sole discretion at any time and without prior notice to you, such changes to be effective prospectively. You thus should periodically visit this page (and the Community Guidelines available here) for changes. If you disagree with the Terms, your sole remedy is to discontinue your use of this Website. Your continued use after a change has been posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
This Website is continually under development, and changes in this Website may be made at any time. Any changes are effective upon posting to this Website.
You are not obligated to register in order to access and read messages posted to the Community. But registration is required in order to post a message to the Community. By registering as a member of the Community, you agree to abide by the Community Guidelines available here, as modified from time to time.
You may also need to register in order to access certain other features on the Website.
When you register, you will be asked to disclose personal information (including, without limitation, your name and email address), and to select a screen name. Please keep in mind when choosing a screen name that whenever you post a message to the Community, your screen name and a link to your online status will automatically appear with your posted message. CBR may refuse to grant you, and you may not use, a screen name (or email address) that is already being used by someone else, impersonates another person, belongs to another person, violates the intellectual property or other rights of any person, or is vulgar or otherwise offensive.
You will also be asked to select a password when you register. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password. You agree to notify CBR of any unauthorized use of your password or any other breach of security with respect to your account. CBR will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account.
You agree to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as requested in the registration form.
Information in Posted Messages
You must exercise caution, good sense and sound judgment in posting messages to the Community. You are responsible for any material that you post.
You agree, represent and warrant that any information you post is truthful, accurate, not misleading and offered in good faith, not invasive of another's privacy; abusive; threatening or obscene, not infringing upon the copyright; trademark or other intellectual property rights of others, and that you have the right to post or transmit such information. The content of such information, whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, is your sole responsibility.
You may delete any of your messages posted to the Community at any time by sending an email to email@example.com, and requesting that the particular message be deleted.
The Community is moderated by third party contractors and/or employees of CBR trained to moderate discussion forums (each a "Moderator"). The Moderator will review posted messages, and may edit or delete messages at his or her discretion. Reasons for the Moderator to edit or delete a post include, but are not limited to, messages that are not on topic or otherwise violate the Community Guidelines.
For some of the message boards in the Community, users have signed up to be an additional "set of eyes" for the message board, and may report to CBR messages that violate the Community Guidelines.
Messages considered offensive by any registered member of the Community may be reported by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
By posting a message to the Community, you automatically grant CBR a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, edit, translate, distribute, perform, and display the message, or any part of it (and derivative works thereof), alone or as part of other works in any form, media, or technology whether now known or hereafter developed, and to sublicense such rights through multiple tiers of sublicensees. You further agree that CBR has the right to use, without any payment or accounting to you or others, any concepts, know-how or ideas that you post to the Community.
CBR does not endorse, support, represent or guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy, or reliability of any message posted to the Community, or endorse any opinions expressed in such posts. You acknowledge that any reliance on material in posted messages will be at your own risk.
Most of the content posted to the Community is provided by third parties like you. CBR is not responsible for this third-party content.

For purposes of these Terms, the use of any such material on any other website or networked computer environment is prohibited. CBR is not responsible for the availability or content of these other websites or for any viruses or other damaging elements encountered in linking to a third-party website, whether or not CBR is affiliated with the owners of such websites.
