Your Body

You are beginning a miraculous journey: growing a baby inside of you! Many women enjoy being pregnant because it is such an amazing orchestration of the human body, while others see pregnancy as simply a means to an end. But I think we can all agree that the outcome is worth all the hard work and effort: a beautiful new baby to care for and love. If you have been actively trying to get pregnant, this may be your month! Continue to take your temperature, monitor other signs of fertility, and then do the "baby-dance" when all the signs are right!

Many women who look forward to pregnancy find themselves taking stock of their lifestyle. Do you know all the things you need to know? What do you need to do to prepare for your baby? Check out this week's helpful list: Getting Pregnant Checklist.

Your Journal Entry

It's terrific that you have such an early start on everything! Many women won't know for a month or more if they've conceived. You will be able to document every aspect of your pregnancy right from the very beginning. Get in the habit of writing down your feelings of the day about your upcoming pregnancy in your own pregnancy journal!

Tips From Other Moms

It's never too early to give up bad habits like smoking or drinking alcohol. Correcting bad behaviors now will help you to have a healthier system in which to grow your baby, so stop those bad habits today. Stopping now means that when you conceive (maybe sometime in the next two weeks!) your system will contain significantly fewer toxins that could affect your baby.
