Sometimes, nothing at all helps! I am now 36 weeks and an older mother to boot. I usually sleep on the left side with two pillows, but even this is no longer enough. It seems that the only way to get comfortable is to almost sit up in bed with a pillow under my knees and tilted toward the left hip. The difficulty with this is that I snore something awful!!! This snoring results in waking my husband, who then wakes me from the rest I have been trying forever it seems to get - and on goes the cycle. The only "real" sleep I end up with anymore is after he leaves for work in the morning and before my daughter rises to wake me yet again.

hi. im 36 weeks and very short...i'm 4'10...so its not that comfortable with like 10 pillows... i always slept on my back... so sleeping on my sides and back is very hard for me... i have always slept on the leftside of the bed so being on the rightside... so much.... i tried sleeping all kinds of ways...it seemed liked nothing cold did it for me...pillows under my legs...back. a pillow and resting my head on 1, 2, or 3 pillows would just be too much work.... my baby girl would moving all the time.... but one day i said.... i give up...im sleeping how ever i end up....funny enough...tha what i did... i fall asleep sitting... on my side on my back...and on all fours.....yu sleep sometimes with my butt up in the air...i am known to do that...every since i was a little girl i would sleep on my knees and elbows cuddling a teddy or pillow....pu know i find that my most rewarding position to sleep in... i sleep like a baby....only thing is when i wake up the pressure from the weight gain hurts the knees... but i dont mind...after all i am 36 weeks...it wont be to much long now.....

I'm 33 weeks pregnant with twins and when I end up on my side, whichever baby is on the bottom starts kicking and moving. I usually sleep on my side when I'm not pregnant so once I'm in rem I automaticall roll to my side (I have a body pillow on both sides and a pillow under my knees while sleeping on a $200 sleeping wedge). Sleeping on my back is the only peaceful way I can sleep but I can't stay that way and I'm worried about everything I've read about sleeping on your back. If I'm on my side I don't get any sleep, the babies protest too much, lol...i think I'm being conditioned for having 2 newborns...

I'm 37 weeks pregnant & I have trouble falling asleep. I've had to take sleeping pills to get some rest. About pillows & laying on my left side that's the most comfortable position. I got no trouble with that.

I am 35 to 36 weeks and sleeping has become difficult here also. And the crazy dreams that i have every half an hour cuz i wake up to go to the bathroom really cuts into the sleep time. I have actually had to use some sleeping pills to help since i am working full time and need to be alert during the day. Being older with this pregnancy has been much harder on my body then the other 3!

I'm having the opposite problem of everyone else. All I want to do is sleep. I will go to bed around 11p.m. or 12a.m., and I will sleep until 4 in the afternoon... I feel so lazy and I drag constantly. I don't know what to do.

I'm almost 36 weeks. As long as I can get comfortable and sleep as long as possible before I need to get up for the upteenth time, I think I'm doing pretty good! However, I don't sleep on my back because it's uncomfortabl Never my left. I start out that way to a good deed, but I always find myself on my right side.

i sleep pretty good, but my baby is already keeping me awake....wit her hiccups. my husband's child from a previous marriage weighed almost nine pounds and my husband did weigh nine pounds, so at 37 weeks i feel every movement. im hoping she'll come early.

No drinking after 7? I crave juice in the middle on night. I wake up with such a bad cotton mouth every time. This is my third pregnancy and I just do what is comfortable for me. Some things though, I feel you just can't avoid.

Pillows are really helping me to get a good nights sleep. I put one between my knees and lie on my left side but often end up on my right. I have a v shaped pillow for around my neck. This pillow works wonders! I am still finding I wake up at least twice in the night to go to the loo. I have just finished work but am trying to keep busy as I am worried now about when I will go into labour!!! I am not really motivated to clean yet and feel I lack in energy, and am still waiting for that nesting instinct to kick in...

Really? no housework 2 hours before bedtime? I wish I had a maid! Working a full time job and then returning home to cook and clean is part of everyday life and I'm sure all you working mothers will agree.
