My Pregnant Body - Week by Week PregnancyWeek 32 - Shortness of BreathYou may begin to experience shortness of breath in these last few weeks. As your baby grows, there is less room left for your lungs to expand and this can cause you to feel short of breath. Exercising moderately can keep your lungs and the rest of your body functioning at peak performance and strengthen some of the muscles needed to carry your load properly. You may also notice that you have developed the pregnancy waddle. This is due to the hormone relaxin that your body is producing to help your pelvic ligaments relax and flex to make delivery easier. Don't worry, you will be walking and breathing normally again after your beautiful baby is here in just about 10 weeks!
