My Baby - Week by Week Pregnancy
Week 3 - 500 Cells Strong
Your baby - now 500 cells strong and called a blastocyst - has been traveling down your fallopian tube for the last 8 to 12 days and sometime this week will reach the soft, nourishing lining of your uterus and implant along the wall. It will divide into two parts: the half that attaches to the uterine wall will begin developing into the placenta, the support system that will nourish your developing baby; the other half will become your baby.
