• Pink and Blue
• Baby items: bottles, pacifiers, diapers, safety pins, storks, booties, baby carriages, cribs, etc.

• Cartoon characters: Winnie the Pooh, Beatrix Potter, Baby Mickey/Minnie Mouse
• Alphabet or Numbers

• Time of day - Everyone invited is given a time of day and should bring a gift for the baby or mom that pertains to that time of the day (i.e. nighttime-pajamas, morning-bottles or items for feeding)
• Favorite children's story - Each guest should bring their favorite book as a child and will give it to the new mom to start the baby's library

Decorating Ideas

• Little pacifiers made out of lifesavers and jellybeans
• Baby clothes (booties, shirts, caps, etc.) clothespinned to a ribbon that's hung around the room; gifts can be added to the line
• Salt and pepper shakers in booties
• Balloons in colors that go with the theme
• Crepe paper and table cloths
• Decorate a scrapbook or blank journal for each guest to write a message for the new parents and baby
