- Cartoon characters: Winnie the Pooh, Beatrix Potter, Baby Mickey/Minnie Mouse
- Alphabet or Numbers
- Outdoor barbecue

- Time of day - Everyone invited is given a time of day and should bring a gift for the baby or mom that pertains to that time of the day (i.e. nighttime-pajamas, morning-bottles or items for feeding)
- Favorite children's story - Each guest should bring their favorite book as a child and will give it to the new mom to start the baby's library
Baby Shower Decorating Ideas
- Little pacifiers made out of lifesavers and jellybeans
- Baby clothes (booties, shirts, caps, etc.) clothespinned to a ribbon that's hung around the room; gifts can be added to the line
- Salt and pepper shakers in booties
- Balloons in colors that go with the theme
- Crepe paper and table cloths
- Decorate a scrapbook or blank journal for each guest to write a message for the new parents and baby
