| I have 6 children. With the first 3 I nursed them. When my twins came along the oldest child was 10 years old. I found nursing took up to much of my time and I needed extra help with feeding them. It almost killed me to have to bottle feed them but I had the 10 year old and sometime my 7 yr old to help feed them. Then 2 years later I had my 6th baby and last. I bottlefeed her too. Now the kids are on their own, 3 married w/children and I have to say. The babies that were bottlefeed are my smartest, hav had no allergies,br bones and have perfect teeth. The other 3 are opposites. They have had allergies, every childhood sickness and not so good teeth.I guess I have a hard time listening to parents say how much better their babies or children are because they were breastfeed compared to bottlefeed babies. Also my husband was bonded so mush faster with my 3 bottlefeed babies because when he came home from work he got to feed them. Just thought I would tell MY story. |

| Yes definately a nursing bra/tank, they are your friend. Even if its just a Bra give yourself this tool! I used receiving blankets as burb rags, they can cover more area... If you cann't afford the nursing shirts, get shirts that have buttons.
If you get sores on your nipple look into the creams/treat it shouldn't be painful to breast. It could be that you don't have enough of the areola in the babys mouth. If they give you a laction consultant, utilize it. Even if you are having a hard time breast feeding don't give up, the baby is learning too. Be proud of yourself for choosing to breast feed, it is healthier for you and your baby! I am on my third little cutie & have breast fed them all. There are so many people that don't even think about breast feeding, & others that are going to look at you crazy, for doing it! We were made to be able to provide our baby with natural nourishment. One more tip, always have a glass of ice cold water for yourself while feeding the baby this will help you keep up with the milk demands! good luck :-) |

| I breast/bottl fed my first and am planning on doing the same for my next baby. I never used nursing bras with my first .. is it much easier to feed with it?? I'm just curious if I should invest in some this time or if they aren't needed. Any suggestions? |

| Also introduce to the bottle as early as 3 weeks and give the bottle once a day. My son is 10 weeks old and he's giving me a hard time taking the bottle now. It's very heartbreakin to hear your little one crying for an hour... |
